Emma McKenna is a multi-disciplinary feminist writer. She is queer, disabled, and from a poor / working class background.

She received her PhD in English and Cultural Studies (McMaster University, 2019), with a focus on intersectional issues in second-wave feminist periodicals in Canada.

Emma is the author of the poetry collection Chenille or Silk (Caitlin Press, 2019).

Her sophomore collection of poetry Gold Star is forthcoming in April, 2026 (Book*hug Press). Preorders are available now at Book*hug Press!
